Breaking news – EU, US impose sanctions against Russian officials over Crimea referendum

US President Barack Obama has ordered that sanctions be applied against 11 Russian and Ukrainian officials, the White House said. Earlier, the EU imposed sanctions against 21 officials after Crimea declared its independence.

The US has imposed sanctions against Russian and Ukrainian officials on Monday, with the White House stating that “the actions and policies” of the Russian government with respect to Ukraine “undermine democratic processes and institutions in Ukraine; threaten its peace, security, stability, sovereignty, and territorial integrity; and contribute to the misappropriation of its assets.”

Obama’s executive order applies to seven top Russian officials, including presidential aide Vladislav Surkov, presidential adviser Sergey Glazyev, State Duma deputy Leonid Slutsky, member of the upper chamber of the Russian parliament (the Federation Council) Andrey Klishas, head of the upper chamber of the Russian parliament Valentina Matvienko, Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin and State Duma deputy Yelena Mizulina.

In addition, the US Treasury has imposed sanctions on four Ukrainian individuals “for their actions or policies that threaten the peace, security, stability, sovereignty, or territorial integrity of Ukraine and in undermining the Government of Ukraine” including the ousted President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovich, Crimean top officials Sergey Aksyonov and Vladimir Konstantinov, and former Ukrainian presidential chief of staff Viktor Medvedchuk.

Obama’s order states that it came into effect at 12:01 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time on March 17, 2014.

The US announcement came shortly after the European Union applied travel bans and asset freezes on Monday against 21 people from Russia and Ukraine, who it believes were linked to the secession of Crimea from Ukraine.

The EU list reportedly includes 13 Russians and eight people from Crimea, and singles out political figures.

The sanctions are due to be expanded when EU leaders meet for a summit in Brussels on Thursday and Friday, said Lithuanian Foreign Minister Linas Linkevicius.

Everything that Obama does, backfires. The problem now, is that Obama insists on making trouble, for the sake of, making trouble.
Old Sicilian saying: “Do not go around looking for trouble. Sooner or later, it, will find, you.”
Then when something happens inside of America, Obama will be the very first one to point his finger at someone else and assign blame, publicly, when the problem, all the while, is Obama, himself.

Obama talks bigmouth hot air. Then sends everyone else to do his job that Obama himself does not know how to do. Obama telephones Putin and gets placed on Hold for a long time. Then begs and grovels to Putin. Putin hangs up the telephone. Putin is not stupid. He will sell US debt, and dump the US Dollar as currency base of trade. That will leave China holding the bag for very big losses, and China will have no other choice but, to sell US debt and also dump the US Dollar. Cameron in UK is stupid because Russia will stop all oil and gas products to UK and EU. America only has three month emergency supply, which Obama refused to released to the American people to help when prices soared. Oil investors made millions, and talk down to people knowing what is happening like the world is stupid and will cower to them. Now, in states, door-to-door house searches without warrants to take place, looking for guns. Something bad will happen. Maybe Putin will rescue America from these corrupt politicians.

Yes, Putin is very smart .. he takes many moves in many directions .there was a high-level military delegation over the past few days in egypt .. maybe there will be no presidential elections here .. waiting for the regional and global developments will happen.we pray to God that preserves the american people and the peoples of the world from those criminals

Thank you. Appearances are that America might venture very close to massive bloodshed. Obama will be vetoing a bill that says that he must enforce the laws and, that he must follow the laws. Obama’s answer is that he will do neither, and seeks to violate the Bill of Rights, and do warrantless searches for guns, and guns are allowed by Second Amendment of US Constitution. Now we wait and see, because shooting will be the result, then all over, shooting will happen. Politicians do not believe they will be hunted nor their families hunted. If shooting happens, America is finished, and we will need outside help, hopefully the Russian Federation for supplies. Obama and many in government, are all criminals. Obama has no idea of how to be president, so he wishes to be a radical and a troublemaker. The world should demand Obama be put on trial.
